About

Lisa Cummings is owner and principal of Walk the Talk. Lisa has been in the health education and wellness industry for 20+ years, beginning her career as a corporate trainer and then moving into the fitness industry as fitness instructor, trainer, and fitness lead for a medically-based fitness center. After many years in the fitness industry, Lisa moved into corporate wellness where she had a combined career as a corporate wellness program coordinator, health educator, and wellness coach. She has spoken to thousands of individuals in her motivating presentations on wellness topics, including:  life balance, fitness motivation, nutrition, stress management, and emotional eating. She has also coached hundreds of individuals, moving them toward behavior change as a one-on-one personal wellness coach. She can design and deliver programs in just about any format that meets the needs of your company, including multiple session presentations, book clubs, and support group formats.

Lisa holds a Masters of Arts in Psychology from the University of Saint Mary and has combined certifications in fitness instruction, personal training, nutrition and wellness consulting, and yoga which makes her a one-stop “behavioral wellness shop” with the knowledge and expertise to move individuals toward healthy behavior change.

On a personal note, Lisa has always loved to cook and share her meals with family and friends. She especially loves turning her favorite recipes into healthier, low carb options and is excited to share those ideas with you on her blog posts. She makes time for exercise most days of the week alternating yoga, running, lifting weights, and playing golf. She and her husband love taking their beloved goldendoodle, Teddy, on long walks and to the dog park. She loves KU basketball, rarely misses a game and can’t wait for the NCAA tournament each year! She loves to spend family time with her husband, two amazing daughters, and her wonderfully supportive friends.

Lisa is excited to enhance the lives of your organization today!
